XRP ETFs pulled in $1.81 billion in net inflows over their first year, yet XRP’s price still dropped 46% from $2.32 to $1.25.
XRP ETFs were the only major spot crypto ETFs to record net inflows the week ending October 30, even as Bitcoin and Ethereum funds shed over $600 million.
XRP now trades 65.8% below its all-time high of $3.65, with sellers dominating across its 20-, 50-, and 200-day moving averages.

U.S. spot XRP (CRYPTO:XRP) ETFs mark their first anniversary on November 13, 2026. Since the first fund launched, they have attracted a net total of $1.81 billion. A spot XRP ETF holds XRP directly, so investors can benefit from price fluctuations through their brokerage account without needing a cryptocurrency wallet.
However, despite this influx of capital, XRP’s price has not risen. The cryptocurrency closed at $2.32 on launch day but has since fallen to $1.25, representing a decline of 46.1%. So, did these ETFs deliver what XRP holders were hoping for?

Canary Launched the First XRP ETF, and Four Issuers Followed

Canary Capital launched the first XRP ETF, the Canary XRP ETF (NASDAQ:XRPC), on November 13, 2025, followed by similar offerings from Bitwise, Grayscale, Franklin Templeton, and 21Shares. Those later funds trade on the NYSE and Cboe, according to SoSoValue.
These funds were marketed to financial advisors, retirement accounts, and institutions that cannot or prefer not to hold cryptocurrency directly. Many investors expected this broader access to drive demand for XRP and push its price higher.
$1.81 Billion Went Into XRP ETFs, but the Funds Now Hold Less
As of October 30, XRP ETFs have seen cumulative net inflows of $1.81 billion, according to SoSoValue, but they currently hold only $1.42 billion in total net assets. This decline in the asset value is due to the drop in XRP’s price since most of this money was invested. The funds’ assets peaked at around $1.70 billion on October 6 but fell to $1.42 billion by October 30 as XRP’s price declined.
Despite this, investors have shown commitment to these ETFs. In the week leading up to October 30, XRP ETFs attracted $4.3 million in new investments, making them the only significant spot cryptocurrency ETFs to register inflows that week. In the same period, Bitcoin ETFs saw $203 million in outflows, while Ethereum and Solana ETFs saw outflows of $432 million and $72 million, respectively.
However, daily figures show modest inflows. On October 29, for instance, investors added about $8.4 million, which was the best day that month. In contrast, on October 26, they withdrew roughly $3.6 million, marking the worst day for the funds. On some days, the funds registered zero net flows, even as their shares continued to trade.
XRP Has Lost Half Its Value in a Year Despite the Inflows

Currently, XRP is trading 65.8% below its all-time high of $3.65 from July 17, 2025. Over the past year, its value has dropped by 50.5%, with a year-to-date decline of 32.1%.
The summer months were particularly tough for XRP, which reached a one-year low of around $0.99 on August 16. Although the price rebounded after that point, the coin has fallen 15.9% in the last 30 days and is now trading below its 20-day average of $1.30, 50-day average of $1.39, and 200-day average of $1.28. This indicates that sellers still dominate the market.
The inflows have been consistent, but they are too small to counter the selling pressure the coin is facing. With XRP’s market value at about $79.1 billion, the roughly $1.8 billion in net inflows over the year has not been enough to reverse the trend.
Have XRP ETFs Delivered What XRP Holders Expected?
In their first year, XRP ETFs have generated steady, albeit small, inflows, but they have not delivered the price appreciation many holders hoped for. An investor who purchased XRP around $2.32 during launch week is currently facing a loss of about 46.1%, similar to the losses in the ETF shares tracking the coin, which also charge fees.
Nevertheless, ETF buyers’ loyalty is notable, as they kept investing through late October, even as investors pulled over $600 million from Bitcoin and Ethereum funds. This suggests there is a dedicated group of investors who view price dips as buying opportunities.
If weekly inflows climb past single-digit millions and net assets recover to October’s peak of $1.70 billion, we might see a different outlook in year two. However, if XRP’s price heads back toward its August low near $0.99, the funds could continue to decline. For now, while XRP ETFs have shown consistent demand, they have not delivered the price jump that holders had anticipated.
