U.S. stocks were mostly higher in final hour of trading on Tuesday afternoon.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average was rising over 280 points, or 0.6%, to trade near 46,992. The blue-chip index was also on pace to score a new record close and its 12th record closing high of 2025, according to Dow Jones Market Data.
The S&P 500 was edging 0.1% higher, to trade at around 6,744 as of 3:22 p.m. Eastern time. The Nasdaq Composite was struggling for direction, trading near 22,979.
