U.S. stock market futures rose on Friday ahead of the release of a critical inflation report that could help drive interest-rate expectations.
Dow Jones Industrial Average futures rose 0.17% to 47002.
S&P 500 futures gained 0.28% to 6794.
Nasdaq-100 futures increased 0.4%, to 25360.
Investors were looking ahead to the release of the consumer price index at 8:30 a.m. Eastern — a rare piece of economic data being released during the shutdown. Expectations are for a 0.4% monthly rise for the headline number and a 0.3% gain for the core.
