NSW electricity networks have launched a bid to take a leading role in the energy transition, arguing that mid-scale solar, community batteries and EV chargers making more use of existing poles and wires could be worth billions in environmental and budget savings.
Ausgrid, Endeavour and Essential Energy have released a plan to expand their role in electrification and reap benefits by using their existing services to delay the investment in transmission needed to support large-scale renewables.
