Books, toys and now clothes are the items you can pick up and swap at the indoor market giving pieces a new lease of life.
The new clothing swap shop follows a toy and book exchange.

Organiser Chloe Wood told The Northern Echo: “Last year, we set up the book exchange, and it ended up being a lot more popular than we thought it would be. It brought a lot of people through the door.
“Then of course, we had the toy exchange which we thought would partner well with the book exchange.
“We had the idea of starting up the clothing swap shop. We had thought about it before but after the success of the other exchanges we thought, why not?”

Visitors are encouraged to make a donation to the honesty box, too, where all funds raised go to charity.
And so far, Chloe, 32, says there has been an influx of positive feedback.

She said: “So far, we’ve had really good feedback. People have been bringing down toys, books and clothes at the same time.
“One woman who brought down items told me that charity shops were full and turning down donations and what we’ve set up is a great alternative.”
As for how long the new swap shop will remain, it’s set to be a permanent fixture thanks to its popularity.
Chloe added: “We know the market isn’t what it used to be – it’s changing. I’d like people to see that it’s changing for the better. We’re trying to give back.
“We do get a lot of negative feedback on social media and we are trying to turn it around.”
Any donations for the exchanges can be left in front of the stalls where they will be processed by organisers.
