European Union countries should use funds from its €150 billion ($174 billion) investment plan for the bloc’s defense industry to help Ukraine, according to Defense Commissioner Andrius Kubilius.

Speaking in a Bloomberg Television interview on Thursday, Kubilius said some countries have notified the European Commission, the EU’s executive arm, that they are ready to also use loans from the so-called Security Action for Europe program for Kyiv.
