Iridium Credit, a standard for AI-powered invoice verification in the U.S., named John C. Carroll, Miguel Serricchio and Srikanth Mallya as strategic advisors. Between them, they have:

  • Led and managed risk for Mitsubishi HC Capital, ENGS Commercial Finance and Citi
  • Led channel development at LSQ and eCapital
  • Headed operations and digital transformation at UPS Capital

They join as Iridium accelerates deployment across U.S. receivables financiers following its latest $3 million expansion round co-led by Field Ventures and MGV.

“Every lender we meet asks what gets checked, who answers for it when something slips through, and what it costs,” Anthony Eden, co-founder and CEO of Iridium Credit, said. “John, Miguel and Srikanth have had to answer those questions for credit committees and clients for decades, and they’ll hold Iridium to the same standard as we bring it to more lenders.”

Carroll, currently a Fellow at the University of Chicago, was chief credit planning officer at Mitsubishi HC Capital America until 2026, chief risk officer of ENGS Commercial Finance from 2015 to 2023 and, before that, spent more than a decade in impactful credit risk and analytics leadership roles at Citi.

“Invoice financing carries with it fraud risk, so it is imperative that the underlying collateral is verified to be legitimate. Iridium is transforming that verification process, adding new types of verification checks and allowing for all invoices, rather than just a sample, to be put through verification,” John C. Carroll, former chief credit planning officer at Mitsubishi HC Capital America, said. “But the real key is that Iridium doesn’t force a predetermined set of outcomes onto the lender. Instead, the lender’s operations and risk teams retain full control for determining what they want to have happen based on the outcomes of the automated verification steps.”

Serricchio is managing director, channel development at eCapital. He spent more than seven years leading channel management and strategy at LSQ, now part of eCapital, and earlier held executive local, regional and global roles at Citigroup, Bank of the West, East West Bank and Opus Bank over more than three decades.

“Having spent more than three decades in commercial finance, I’ve seen firsthand how important invoice verification is, and how difficult it can be to do consistently and efficiently,” Miguel Serricchio, managing director, channel development at eCapital, said. “The industry has relied on manual processes and sampling for far too long. What excites me about Iridium is the opportunity to change that, using technology to improve risk management while making lenders more efficient. I believe this is an important step forward for our industry.”

Mallya is managing director at Leverage Supply Chain Group, a supply chain and operations advisory firm. He spent 26 years at UPS, most of them at UPS Capital, the company’s financial services arm, where he held strategy, operations and digital transformation leadership roles across the U.S., Asia, and the UK. Most recently, he served as vice president of digital transformation before becoming president of Ware2Go, UPS’s e-commerce fulfillment subsidiary.

“I’m excited to work with such a talented team, and one that shares my passion for SMB financing,” Srikanth Mallya, managing director at Leverage Supply Chain Group, said. “Receivables finance turns unpaid invoices into the working capital small businesses need to grow. But it only works if lenders can trust the invoice, and most have lacked the means to verify it before funding. Iridium solves that, and I believe it will open receivables finance to far more SMBs in the years ahead.”
