Five fire engines are currently at the scene of a blaze on a city scrap metal yard. The ongoing incident at Moores Metals has seen part of Chemical Lane, off the A500, shut off.
Crews were scrambled to the business just before 3.25am this morning. Meanwhile images shared on social media show a huge plume of smoke in the city sky.
Now Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service has confirmed the incident has seen Chemical Lane being closed – with other nearby businesses accessible on foot. The yard is located just off Reginald Mitchell Way.
