The conference aims to provide a platform for dialogue on agricultural policies, implementation of welfare schemes, and region-specific challenges faced by farmers. Officials indicated that the discussions will focus on improving coordination between the Centre and states, enhancing productivity, and addressing structural concerns in the farming ecosystem.
Agriculture Ministers from Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Delhi, and Jammu and Kashmir are expected to participate in the conference. In addition, representatives from the Union Territories of Chandigarh and Ladakh, along with senior officials from the Government of India, will also attend the sessions.
The programme is planned as a full-day event starting at 9:30 AM and concluding at 7:30 PM. Throughout the day, multiple thematic sessions will be conducted, allowing participants to exchange views on ongoing agricultural development programmes and emerging challenges in the sector, including resource management, technology adoption, and market access for farmers.
Organisers have stated that the conference will also provide an opportunity to review the progress of various central and state-level initiatives aimed at supporting farmers’ income and strengthening rural livelihoods. While no formal policy announcements have been pre-confirmed, the discussions are expected to contribute to future coordination and decision-making processes.
At the end of the event, key observations and outcomes are expected to be shared through press briefings. The conference is being positioned as a platform for structured inter-state dialogue on agriculture, with an emphasis on collaborative approaches to addressing shared concerns in the sector.
