Drishyam 3, after months of intense anticipation and nonstop fan speculation, has finally hit theatres, with massive celebrations across Kerala and other regions. The third installment of the hugely successful thriller franchise is already turning out to be one of the most talked about Malayalam releases of the year, with fans thronging theatres to see the return of Georgekutty.
The film directed by Jeethu Joseph had huge expectations since it was officially announced. Thanks to its captivating storytelling, suspense-filled plot and emotionally complex characters, the Drishyam series has gained a dedicated fan base over the years. The audience seems to be largely impressed with the latest episode as early social media reactions are out and many have lauded the suspense elements and performances.
Apart from the film, the talks about the cast remunerations have also gone viral on the web. Drishyam 3 is said to be made on a massive budget of around Rs 100 crore, making it one of the costliest Malayalam films ever made.
Superstar Mohanlal, who is back as Georgekutty, is on the top of the remuneration chart. The actor was said to have been paid close to Rs 20 crore for the third installment. Interestingly, he has reportedly enjoyed a significant hike in his remuneration for the franchise over the years with the actor said to have pocketed a neat Rs 5-6 crore for the first film and around Rs 10-12 crore for Drishyam 2.
Actress Asha Sharath as Geeta Prabhakar is back and is also believed to have been paid a huge sum. She is said to have earned Rs 1 crore to repeat her pivotal role in the thriller.
Similarly, Ansiba Hassan, who plays Georgekutty’s elder daughter Anju, is said to have earned around Rs 1 crore for the film. Her character continues to be the emotional heart of the story.
Veteran actress Meena, who is back as Rani George, is said to be paid around Rs 75 lakh for the project. Meanwhile, actor Siddique was said to have been paid close to Rs 60 lakh for his role.

Esther Anil, who returns as Georgekutty’s younger daughter Anumol, is said to be the lowest paid actor in the main cast. Media reports put her remuneration at around Rs 25 lakh.
Drishyam 3 has created a lot of excitement at the box office with packed theatres, massive fan celebrations and strong opening day excitement. Now, audiences are all waiting to see if the film can replicate the historic commercial success of the previous installments of the franchise.
