Liberty Ridge Coins & Bullion brings private, pressure-free evaluations directly to homes throughout Western Connecticut and the surrounding New York region. The company recently helped a customer discover two coins valued at $60,000

RIDGEFIELD, Conn., Sept. 30, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — As Fairfield County residents are getting organized for Fall and the holidays, many are also tackling long-overdue cleaning and organizing projects—and discovering forgotten coin collections, inherited jewelry and precious metals tucked away in drawers, safes and attics.

For Ridgefield resident and longtime collector Jay Goodman, those discoveries inspired the launch of Liberty Ridge Coins & Bullion, a personalized -style business offering private, in-home evaluations of coin collections, jewelry, bullion, precious metals and estate collections throughout Fairfield County and surrounding communities in New York.

Founded in 2025, Liberty Ridge Coins & Bullion was created to provide homeowners and families with an educational, convenient and pressure-free way to understand what their collections may be worth.

“People often inherit a collection or jewelry from a parent or grandparent and have no idea what they have,” said Goodman. “They may have questions about whether something is valuable, where it came from, or what their options are. My goal is to make the evaluation process comfortable, educational and completely pressure-free.”

Goodman recently met with a customer who had inherited a coin collection and uncovered two significant rarities: The 1907 High Relief Saint-Gaudens $20 gold coin, with only 12,367 struck, and a rare 1801 $10 Draped Bust gold coin were recently graded by PCGS at the ANA coin show in Pittsburgh. The coins received grades of MS64 and AU53, respectively, and are worth roughly $60,000 in their certified condition. Exceptional examples of these coins can be worth more than $1.2 million combined – showing how proper identification and preservation can make a life-changing difference in the value of an old coin collection.

Goodman’s passion for collecting and decades of experience in the coin and precious-metals market allow him to work with clients ranging from first-time sellers to experienced collectors. Evaluations can include individual coins as well as complete estate collections.
