Comex gold futures for December delivery declined $173.20, or 4.14%, over the past week to settle at $4,007.90 per ounce. Prices briefly fell to $3,989 on Friday before recovering above the $4,000 mark, as rising bond yields and a stronger dollar weighed on bullion.
