Iridium revenue growth accelerates in Q3 after Aireon takeover
Satellite services provider Iridium reported higher results for the third quarter, helped by its takeover of Aireon. Revenues rose 8 percent year-on-year to USD 245.7 million, and net profit improved to USD 106.9 million from USD 37.1 million thanks to a one-time gain of USD 103.9 million from the takeover. At the end of September Iridium’s shareholders approved the planned takeover of the company by Rocket Lab, and Iridium said the deal is on track to close by mid-2027.
