Mirka is expanding its premium Iridium abrasive range with perforated rolls and a wider range of grits alongside a series of technical upgrades.
The development is designed to provide users with a flexible product that can cover numerous collision repair applications, including paint and filler removal, primer preparation, clear-coat sanding and post-paint finishing. The upgrade also reduces process times by up to 15% and increases productivity.
The perforated rolls offer enhanced flexibility as technicians can tear off the right number of strips to fit blocks, while a new ceramic grain technology delivers improved grain distribution and enhanced anti-clogging properties.
The expanded Iridium range now includes the ultra-coarse 40 grit and goes up to the 1200, 1500, 2000, 2500 ultra-fine grits.
Steve Smith, national sales manager, collision repair, Mirka UK, said: “With margins on jobs getting tighter, we know that bodyshops need abrasives that work harder for every job and the upgraded Iridium range does just that.
“Our R&D team has developed it so that it is durable, cuts faster and provides long-lasting performance to help bodyshops improve productivity, reduce key-to-key times and maintain a consistently high-quality finish from the first use to the last.”
