Hutcheon Mearns Real Estate has rebranded and relaunched as Landed Real Estate.
The commercial property firm brings together founder Iain Landsman with Derren McRae, who leaves his role as head of CBRE’s Aberdeen office to become co-owner – having previously worked together at the firm.
Landsman established Hutcheon Mearns Real Estate in March 2023 and hired David Gavan in December 2025.
“The last three years have been the most rewarding professionally of my career as I took the leap of faith to move from the comfort of a corporate environment to founding my own business,” commented Landsman. “I’ve known Derren for a long time having worked together previously – his arrival marks a significant step in the firm’s evolution with the energy and skillset he possesses helping us take forward the business to the next level.”
McRae added: “After 17 hugely enjoyable years with CBRE, the prospect of working again alongside Iain was too good an opportunity to turn down.
“By combining forces again and adding in to the mix the exciting young prospect David, from our first meeting I felt genuinely energised that Landed Real Estate will collectively provide a strong service offering to the market.”
Landed Real Estate advises investors, landlords and occupiers across office, industrial, retail, development and alternative asset classes.
