Major food and drink manufacturers including Carlsberg Group, Diageo, FrieslandCampina and Mondelez International have joined a global declaration supporting a new industry-wide regenerative agriculture programme aimed at improving resilience across food supply chains.
The 40 organisations have signed a declaration of intent backing the Regenerating Together Programme (RTP), developed by SAI Platform, ahead of its official launch later this year.
The initiative seeks to create greater alignment across the food and agriculture sector on regenerative farming practices, with participating companies committing to collaborate on shared outcomes linked to soil health, biodiversity, water stewardship and climate resilience.
The programme has been developed with input from farmers, agronomists, NGOs and academics, and is designed to provide a practical framework that can be adapted to different local farming systems while establishing common indicators and measurement standards.
The declaration comes amid growing pressure on global food systems from climate change, biodiversity loss, soil degradation and increasing strain on farmer livelihoods, with manufacturers and suppliers facing mounting scrutiny over the sustainability and resilience of their supply chains.

Dionys Forster, Director General at SAI Platform, described the level of industry backing as “a pivotal moment” in moving regenerative agriculture “from ambition to action”.
SAI Platform said the next phase of the programme will be formally launched at its Annual Event in Saskatoon, Canada, in June 2026.
