Zeenab Foods Limited has invited farmers, cooperatives, commodity aggregators, merchants and established agricultural companies to express interest in supplying eight agricultural commodities to the company.
The company, which operates in agro-commodity trading, food processing and international trade, said the exercise was aimed at identifying and prequalifying reliable suppliers capable of delivering quality agricultural produce consistently to designated locations across Nigeria.
In an invitation for expression of interest (EOI) and prequalification issued by its Procurement Department, the company said the commodities required were paddy rice, sorghum, millet, beans, sesame seeds, dried split ginger, cocoa beans and soybeans.
“The exercise is intended to identify and prequalify reliable suppliers capable of delivering quality agricultural commodities consistently to our designated locations across Nigeria,” the company stated in the notice.
Zeenab Foods said successful suppliers would be expected to deliver the commodities to designated locations in Abuja, Kano and Sagamu/Ikenne in Ogun State, depending on the requirements specified in individual purchase orders or supply agreements.
It added that specific warehouse addresses and delivery instructions would be communicated to successful suppliers when purchase orders were issued.
The company said interested suppliers must submit their business names, corporate profiles, brief descriptions of their operations, Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) registration documents and Tax Identification Numbers (TIN).
Applicants are also required to provide their contact details, including business addresses, telephone numbers and email addresses, alongside information on the commodities they intend to supply, quantities available for immediate delivery and estimated weekly and monthly supply capacities.
Other requirements include details of the states and locations where the commodities originate, warehouse or aggregation centre locations, previous supply experience and information about major customers served, where applicable.
The notice further stated that suppliers should provide evidence of their capacity to mobilise and aggregate the proposed quantities, logistics and transportation arrangements, preferred delivery locations, and bank references or other evidence of financial capacity where required.
On product standards, Zeenab Foods emphasised that all commodities supplied must meet its applicable quality specifications.
The company said suppliers who successfully complete the evaluation and prequalification process could be considered for different procurement arrangements, including spot purchases, monthly or seasonal supplies, framework agreements, annual supply contracts and other mutually agreed long-term arrangements.
“Commercial terms, including quantities, prices, payment terms, quality specifications, delivery schedules and delivery destinations, will be agreed separately and confirmed through official purchase orders or supply agreements issued by the company,” the notice stated.
Interested suppliers have been directed to submit their expressions of interest using the subject line, “EOI FOR THE SUPPLY OF AGRICULTURAL COMMODITIES TO ZEENAB FOODS LIMITED”.
Submissions must clearly indicate the commodities being offered, available quantities, monthly supply capacity, commodity origin and preferred delivery location.
The company, however, clarified that submitting an expression of interest would not constitute a contract, an offer or a commitment to purchase any commodity.
It added that only shortlisted and successfully prequalified suppliers would be contacted for further engagement.
