National Real Estate Advisors, an investment manager developing, operating and managing commercial real estate and infrastructure projects across the United States, announced a planned leadership transition to support the firm’s long-term growth.

In January 2027, Kevin Verdi will assume the role of president and CEO. Verdi succeeds Jeffrey Kanne, who will retire after more than 25 years leading the firm. Following the transition, Kanne will continue to support National as a special advisor.

The transition follows a succession planning process developed in partnership with National’s board of directors and senior leadership team. Verdi’s tenure predates National itself, beginning with NEBF Real Estate, and he currently serves as executive vice president and CIO. Throughout his tenure, he has played a central role in shaping the firm’s investment strategy, portfolio growth and long-term vision.
